Conservation work on the Moor
Projects Completed
The moor is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and part of the River Wensum Special Area of Conservation (SAC). This has been restored for the benefit of unusual flora.

Work in progress
As part of Natural England’s Million Ponds Project, we have been awarded funding to regenerate the reed bed and wetland area. This work will start in January 2009.

As part of the Farmland Bird of Prey project we will be available to give farmers and landowners advice on habitat for birds of prey and the benefits of encouraging birds of prey on their land.
