2010 marsh harrier chick emerges from egg
First footage of wild marsh harrier chick leaving its egg
The world's first video of a marsh harrier chick emerging from the egg, filmed at Sculthorpe Moor 18 May 2010.
The cameras were activated on the afternoon of the 17th May 2010 and this chick was filmed hatching the day after. Look at the centre of the nest below the chick that is feeding to see the second chick struggling to get out of the shell. Until the young have fledged, around late July, you can see live footage from our webcam .
