Brief description
One of the largest British birds of prey, second only to the White-tailed Eagle. Dark brown on back and wings, with a golden tinge to the head, the female has a wingspan of up to 220cm.

Length
79 - 89cm. Weight: 3 - 6kg.

Habitat
Inhabits mountains and higher areas of  moorland.
